A Message From the Principal's Desk:

Greetings Kingsway Community,

October was a jam-packed month as our kids participated in Week of Respect activities, the Julie Riggi Walk-a-Thon, the Book Fair and Red Ribbon Week. Throughout the month, we averaged between 200-250 students after school each day; between the clubs, sports, and wellness activities, students have found ways to get involved in our school community. The Julie Riggi Walk-A-Thon pushed record breaking numbers since the inception of the event with nearly 300 students attending and honoring a truly fantastic Dragon - Julie Riggi.

November will mark the midway point of the semester. Students will be encouraged to submit their paperwork for the mid-semester Renaissance check-in; "Midi-Celebration". A small-scale celebration will be held for those who are on pace to be a Renaissance cardholder. We are also proud to announce that we have several guests lined up for Career Day on November 25. The students stand to benefit greatly from this program. Have a wonderful month of November!

MISCELLANEOUS MISCELLANEOUS

Kingsway Regional High School Open House | November 17, 2026 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

KRHS Open House: All middle school students are encouraged to attend the KRHS Open House with their families to learn more about our high school's academic, extracurricular, and athletic programs.

Schoology: Kingsway Regional School District uses Schoology (pronounced "Skoo-luh-jee") as its Learning Management System (LMS) to support teaching and learning and to streamline student, parent, and faculty interactions in an all-in-one digital environment. Schoology serves as a convenient one-stop shop for students to access courses, assignments, teachers, grades, school counselor support, and more. Through Schoology, parents can view their student's courses, check grades, and communicate with teachers. We invite you to sign in and access your parent account to stay involved as partners in your child’s education. SCHOOLOGY PARENT TUTORIAL

How to Help Your Child: Each stage of parenthood presents its unique challenges. Guiding our teenagers through their middle school years can be an overwhelming and daunting task. At times they struggle to stay organized, to advocate for themselves, or to know how to study for an upcoming exam. As parents, we know that there is not one single formula or a set of directions to help our children through these critical years, but we seek out any tips and advice we can find with the ultimate goal being our child’s success. Outlined below are tips you can utilize to assist your child through his/her middle school journey as well as a link to an article entitled, “10 Ways to Help Your Middle School Child Succeed”.

1. Encourage your child to advocate for himself/herself. Asking questions about a grade, posing a clarifying question, or talking to their teacher after class about a situation are all part of the maturation process and help to set our children up for future success in all that they encounter.

2. Encourage your child to reassess when he/she scores below an 83 on any secondary assessment in any class.

3. Have frequent conversations with your child about what he/she is learning in his/her classes and how he/she performed on his/her last assessment.

4. Look at the KRMS website to target clubs/activities of interest and make arrangements for your child to stay after school. Getting involved always pays off!

5. Encourage the use of our Enrichment/Arrival Period from 7:40 - 8:08 daily.

Genesis Information System: Through Genesis, the district can send important letters (i.e. attendance, discipline, etc.) and place important documents (i.e. gifted and talented, MAP scores, advisement session outcomes, etc.) in Genesis. When letters or documents are published in the system, parents/guardians will receive an email notification to go into Genesis to review them. For more information on this, please click here to visit our Genesis Parent Portal Page.

Back Gate: Please note that the back gate used to exit the school grounds closes at 3:00 PM After this time, vehicles will not be able to exit through that gate.
