The Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

For starters...school will not be in session on Tuesday (due to Election Day) and Friday (due to the Veteran's Day observance). SO in short, it is a three day school week ahead.

Just a reminder, all families should have received conference invitations last Tuesday from your child's classroom teacher. Grade 5 teachers will be meeting with parents in each of their homerooms. Please be sure to click the link and select a appointment time. November 15th is in person and November 16 in the afternoon.

At our PBIS Rally this past Friday, we talked about being bucket fillers and how we fill one another's buckets. To give the kids a bit more voice, we made a quick little video where kids got to share who fills their buckets and share it at our Assembly. Click here to see it. For the month of November, our PBIS focus will be on "Praising People" and the power of positivity. More pictures can be found on our twitter and facebook social media sites.

Last but not least, Academy is holding a Color Day next Thursday, November 10 (see the list below) in observance of the Friday holiday. We talked about it at our PBIS Rally on Friday and are excited to show our spirit and support for our Veterans.

Let's have a great week!

Mr. Higgins
