FULLER FAMILY NEWS
From the Principal's Desk
We want you to help us celebrate individual Fuller Elementary School staff members who have provided you and/or your student with an exceptional experience. We believe the best gift teachers can receive are the words of affirmation and confirmation from you, the community members we serve. This is called the Fuller Five. If you would like to share how a Fuller staff member has exceeded your expectations, please use this FULLER FIVE form to give us a glimpse into your experience. We will spotlight these wonderful educators on your behalf here on campus.
Grade Level T-Shirts
Families,
It’s time to order your student’s grade level shirt.
These shirts are a fun way to show school spirit and help us easily identify each grade during events such as Fuller Family Gathering, field trips, and field day.
The best part is that these shirts will follow them to their next grade level.

Teacher Feature
This week, we are excited to recognize Mrs. Contreras, one of our incredible 1st grade teachers! Often described as a “student whisperer,” Mrs. Contreras has a special gift for connecting with her students—so much so that they truly hang on her every word. Her calm presence and intentional approach create a classroom environment that is not only maximized for learning, but also grounded in mutual respect and care for one another.
Mrs. Contreras is a dedicated professional who is always striving to grow. She welcomes feedback and implements it quickly and thoughtfully, continuously refining her practice to better serve her students. Her commitment to improvement and her reflective mindset make a lasting impact on student achievement and classroom culture.
Though she may be quiet, Mrs. Contreras is truly mighty. Her actions, consistency, and heart for teaching speak volumes. She brings patience, purpose, and a deep love for her students each and every day. Fuller Elementary is so fortunate to have Mrs. Contreras shaping the minds and hearts of our learners!

Attendance
Please remember our campus goal is a 95% attendance rate. We want to see every child, every day.
Absences and excuse notifications should be sent to sharrison@aubreyisd.net OR alaster@aubreyisd.net
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
For attendance questions:
PEIMS Clerk: Shea Harrison sharrison@aubreyisd.net
Attendance Administrator: Anverly Laster alaster@aubreyisd.net
