Principal's Message Principal's Message

Welcome back, St. Johns High School families!

I hope your summer brought rest, good memories, and maybe even a few quiet mornings before the Arizona heat settled in. As we begin a new school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible progress our students and staff made last year — because it truly was a year of growth for SJHS.

Our students showed strong academic gains, including increases in testing scores and improvements in our College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI). We continued moving our school’s letter grade in the right direction, and we strengthened the systems that support student success in every classroom. Just as importantly, we experienced remarkable stability in our teaching staff — a sign of the strong culture, commitment, and community that make SJHS such a special place for students to learn.

Last year’s theme, Eyes Up, encouraged us to stay focused on what matters most: keeping students at the center of every decision, choosing opportunity over obstacle, and working together with purpose. That mindset helped us build momentum, and it remains just as important as we step into a new year.

This year brings new opportunities, new challenges, and a new theme that we’ll unveil together. We are excited to welcome our students back, reconnect with families, and continue building a school environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and known.

Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your commitment to St. Johns High School. We are proud of the direction our school is heading, and we are even more excited about what lies ahead.

Here’s to a fantastic year at SJHS!

With gratitude,

Mrs. Mo

Attendance Check-in Attendance Check-in

Welcome, Mrs. Montgomery!

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our SJHS family, Alex Montgomery, who will be serving as our Attendance Specialist and Receptionist!

Alex brings a fun, positive energy to our front office and is looking forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff throughout the school year. When she's not at school, you'll likely find her spending time with her favorite animals—especially birds, emus, and horses!

Please join us in giving Alex a warm SJHS welcome. We are thrilled to have her on our team and can't wait for our families to get to know the friendly face that will be greeting them in the front office.

Welcome to the SJHS family, Mrs. Montgomery! ❤️🤍
