WATERTOWN JIG JOG WALK/RUN
The Watertown Jig Jog Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, March 15th at 10:00a.m. Walkers and runners will experience a 5K course winding through historic Watertown neighborhoods that includes the Octagon House. The walk/run begins and ends by the Watertown Public Library/Bentzin Family Town Square on South Water Street. A 0.4-mile Little Leprechaun Run will precede the 5K event at 9:40a.m. REGISTER BEFORE MARCH 7 to receive a long sleeve sweatshirt, a surprise item and be eligible for raffle prizes. (Note: Family registrations will receive short sleeve t-shirts.)
If you don't feel like running or walking, consider volunteering. Course volunteers are needed. Adults and responsible teenagers are needed to stand at their assigned intersections, help runners get across the street safely and cheer the runners and walker on. You'll be done in an hour or less and this year you will also get a t-shirt!
Proceeds go to the Educational Foundation of Watertown which distributed over $50,000 last year to local public and private classrooms.
All school parents, students and staff are encouraged to sign up and try to win the "challenge cup" for their school. Webster won the traveling "challenge cup" last year for large school with the most participation. We also received $250.00 for our PTO. LET'S DO IT AGAIN WILDCATS!!
