Science Labs & Trips
Cell Membrane Lab
Field Trip to Chicago
Ms. Watkins' Biology classes recently completed a lab on cells using bubble soap. Cell membranes are fluid, flexible and can self-repair. Bubbles and cell membranes are alike because their parts are very similar and the bubbles proved a very tangible example for the students.
Ms. Smith's Microbiology students recently took a field trip to the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum, where they learned about the reversal of the Chicago River.
