Spotlight
Today, our kindergarten students proudly celebrated Flag Day through song and music! Their enthusiasm, smiles, and beautiful voices made for a wonderful performance. Thank you to our families for joining us as we filled the auditorium with Red, White, and Blue!
Bellows Bound
Second graders enjoyed their annual walkover to F.E.B., where they toured the building, met their future teachers and Mr. Scarantino, and experienced a day in the life of an F.E.B. student by having lunch and recess at their new school.
Notes and Reminders
2nd Grade Celebration ~
We are thrilled to host our PTSA-sponsored Second Grade Celebration! Each June, our PTSA organizes a special after-school event to celebrate our second graders as they prepare to move on to F.E. Bellows and beyond.
On Thursday, June 18, the Daniel Warren courtyard and playground will be closed for this special event. We kindly ask that only second-grade families attend. Please let your caregivers know.
The celebration will feature a Foam Truck Party from 3:00–4:00 p.m., providing a fun and memorable way for our students to celebrate this exciting milestone.
Second graders should come prepared with a labeled water bottle. Since our Foam Truck Party is sure to be a splashy good time, families may also want to bring a change of clothes for the trip home! 😉 The school building will remain open from 3:00–4:00 p.m. for bathroom access only. This is not a drop-off event. We will hold our regular dismissal, and families are invited to go directly to the courtyard for the event.
We look forward to celebrating with our second graders!
Field Day Volunteers Needed!
Field Day is just around the corner, and we are looking for volunteers to help make the day a success! This year, all activities will be organized by our amazing Physical Education team, and we would love some extra hands to assist at each station.
VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE STILL OPEN!
Families are welcome to sign up to volunteer during their child's Field Day or attend their child's event and volunteer for another grade level. As a reminder, all grown-ups are welcome to attend Field Day and cheer on our students. Sign up for a time slot here!
DW Field Day is on June 22nd with a rain date on June 24th.
Thank you for helping us create a fun, memorable day for everyone!

Safety Reminders for After School~
1. We have noticed students playing after school near the parking lot and around the dumpster area. To help ensure everyone's safety, we ask that caregivers provide active supervision of children who remain on school grounds after dismissal and encourage play only in safe, designated areas.
The parking lot and dumpster areas present potential safety hazards and are not appropriate places for children to play. We appreciate your partnership in helping keep all students safe after school.
2. Our neighbors have shared concerns about children playing along the property line near the side of our building, adjacent to the second-grade dismissal area. This location includes a rock wall and a steep incline, creating a potential risk of falls and injury.
We ask that caregivers closely supervise children after dismissal and remind them to remain in safe, designated areas while on or near school grounds. We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students and in being respectful of our neighbors' property.
From Our Community
Harbor Island is Getting a Makeover...
...and the Village of Mamaroneck wants to hear from you!
Community members are invited to take a short online survey to share their thoughts on what improvements they would like to see at Harbor Island Park.
Your feedback will help guide future planning efforts and ensure the park continues to serve the needs of residents, visitors, and the broader community.
The survey is open now and responses will be accepted through June 30, 2026.
