WES NewsSPECIAL EDITIONApril 13th, 2026-April 16th 2026 NEED ACADEMYUPDATES

Good Evening WES Families,

Day 3 – NEED Academy Journal

Today was all about connection, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun. The 5th graders are truly bonding, and it’s been incredible to see their relationships grow stronger.

They spent much of the day playing games that encouraged collaboration and made full use of the environment around them. Vannary shared with me the “Hoo! Hoo!” game, where students had to sneak their way back to the porch without being spotted by a flashlight. It took strategy, patience, and teamwork. In between games, students continued their learning by exploring different types of lichen and examining chameleon eggs, at our local swamps. One of the highlights of the day was a challenge where students had to line themselves up from youngest to oldest without speaking at all. Not a single peep! .

It’s clear that this group has grown closer over these past few days, supporting one another and sharing in new experiences.

Tomorrow, everyone returns home. Our arrival time is set for 1:00 PM, and we look forward to reuniting students with their families and sharing more about this unforgettable experience.

Cheers!

Principal O'Shea
