The 1947 Club
In honor of our school's founding year, the 1947 Club was created to establish a stable and dependable source of unrestricted operating income for St. Luke's Episcopal School. Friends who reached the 1947 Club giving level during the 2024-2025 academic year, by donating $1,947 or more to the St. Luke's Fund, were honored this past Friday at a special celebration hosted at the beautiful home of Katherine and Robert Trimble.

Opening Convocation – Beginning the Year in Faith and Community
St. Luke's Opening Convocation marks the beginning of our school year, serving as a meaningful tradition that unites our entire school community. This annual gathering is more than just a ceremony; it is a powerful symbol of our shared purpose and commitment to each other as we embark on a new academic journey. Convocation sets the tone for the year ahead, reinforcing the importance of our collective purpose and the guiding principles that define St. Luke's Episcopal School.
A highlight of the Opening Convocation is the special pinning ceremony for our 8th grade class. This tradition celebrates the students' journey and the leadership they offer to our school community. It is a moment of pride and recognition, symbolizing their growth and readiness to lead by example. As we come together for this event, we embody the spirit of #WeAreStLukes, a community that supports, uplifts, and celebrates each other as we strive to live out the pillars of scholarship, citizenship, and leadership in all that we do.
Join us on Wednesday, August 27th at 8 a.m. as we look forward to beginning this new chapter with joy, purpose, and faith—together as one community. All parents who attend will receive a tea light along with the students and faculty which will remind us of God’s light and joy inside our hearts and together. #WeAreStLukes shining our lights on the hilltop and beyond for all the world to see.
