We are thrilled to share that Gold Rush Elementary was honored with the John Irwin School of Excellence Award by the State of Colorado on Thursday evening. Our principal proudly accepted this prestigious recognition from the Superintendent following her State of the District presentation.

The John Irwin Award is presented to schools that rank in the top 5% statewide for academic achievement. This honor reflects the outstanding dedication of our students, staff, and families who work together every day to foster a strong learning environment and a culture of excellence.

We are incredibly proud to consistently receive this distinction, and we thank you for your continued partnership and support in making Gold Rush a place where every child can thrive.

PRESENTING WEDNESDAY ADDAMS PRESENTING WEDNESDAY ADDAMS

Gold Rush students participating in the Golden Ticket Theater program took the stage on Friday to perform Wednesday Addams for the school—and they were absolutely amazing! With stunning vocals, expressive acting, and impressive stage presence, our student performers captivated the audience and brought this fun, spooky story to life.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to parent, Chelsea Hannah, and our Administrative Assistant, Anita Rudman, for their hard work and dedication in making this production possible.

We hope you’ll join us to experience the full show! Public performances will be held this weekend at the following times: Friday at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 1:00 PM & 6:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

KINDERGARTEN EGG DROP KINDERGARTEN EGG DROP

Our kindergarten students put their knowledge of force and motion to the test on Monday during their exciting culminating activity—the Egg Drop Challenge! With creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking, students designed and built protective contraptions to keep raw eggs safe during a dramatic drop from the top of the school building.

We were so proud of the thoughtful planning and innovative designs each student brought to the challenge. Even more impressive—most of the eggs survived the fall! After the big drop, students took their learning further by charting and graphing the results, comparing how many eggs remained intact versus those that didn’t.

A big thank you to our dedicated kindergarten team for making this hands-on learning experience possible and to the parents who came out to cheer on our young scientists. It was a memorable day of learning, discovery, and fun!
