IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION

The bus drivers are doing a fantastic job getting our students home safely. However, we have had one issue to come up a couple of times. Drivers only transport students to and from their home address unless another address is approved by an administrator and the administrator tells the driver to do so.

If your child rides the bus home to any location other than your home address, you must send an email or note to the front office for approval. Drivers will not drop students off at locations that have not been approved through the office. Classroom teachers cannot approve of this and do not send this information to the driver.

This includes students being dropped off at daycares even if they have been doing this for years. Each year you need the approval of the administration.

If it is grandmother's house, a neighbor, etc., please give us a name and a phone number of the person we are dropping your student off with for safety purposes.

Thank you for helping us with this matter. You may email Mrs. McAlister or Mrs. Wright with these requests. jmcalister@mcssk12.org OR ywright@mcssk12.org

IMPORTANT MORNING CARLINE INFORMATION

We have extended the carline until 7:45 this year in order to avoid having large crowds in the lobby trying to get to class at the last minute. HOWEVER, we need your help in this.

CLASS BEGINS at 7:45. We actually begin TEACHING at this time.

If you drop your child off in the car line at 7:45, they are LATE to class. This can be frustrating to a child when they walk in and have to unpack and class has already started. They will most likely miss the morning review work the teacher has given the class.

Therefore, please help us by using the following time frames for getting students to class on time.

Please be in the carline no later than 7:35. This should ensure your child is walking in the building by 7:40 and can get to class by 7:45.

If your child is eating breakfast at school, please be in the carline by no later than 7:30. This year children are walking to the cafeteria and picking up their breakfast and bringing it back to the classroom to eat. In order to walk, pick-up breakfast, eat, and unpack, a student needs these 15 minutes.

We appreciate everyone working together to get our students started off right each day!

Those continuing to learn Virtually

The deadline to let us know if your student is returning to traditional school was Oct. 2nd. Those who have chosen to continue learning virtually will remain with the same virtual teachers.

Even though the deadline has passed, please remember that if your circumstances change you may call Mrs. McAlister to discuss options.

Update on Procedures

Just a quick update on procedures during the 2nd quarter - These will remain in place until further notice:

1. We will not have any field trips off campus during the 2nd quarter.

2. Students will continue to practice physical distancing as much as possible.

3. Masks will continue to be required. Adults, please remember your mask if you visit the front office.

4. Adults should practice physical distancing when in the front office. If there is someone at the front desk, please wait outside until they have exited.

5. Visitors will continue to be restricted on campus.

Our on campus students are doing a fantastic job of following the new procedures in place and we appreciate the support of our parents! Please email us if you have questions about any procedures.

Medications

Hello Endeavor parents!

Here is some information on what to do if your child needs medication at school.

Prescription Medication:

- Have your child's doctor fill out a PPA form for EACH medication to be kept at school. That form can be found here.

- Sign up for a meeting with me here.

- Bring the medication in a pharmacy labeled container to the school along with the signed PPA form to our meeting. Children can NOT bring in any medications.

Over-the-Counter Medication:

*** OTC medications can only be given by dosing on bottle unless a Prescription PPA form (above) is signed by a doctor to be given otherwise.

- Fill out an Over-the-Counter PPA form. That form can be found here.

- Sign up for a meeting with me here.

- Bring an unopened container of the medication along with the PPA form to our meeting. Children can NOT bring in any medications.
