Happy March! Spring is just around the corner, and we’re excited for the learning and fun ahead.

⭐I have EXCITING news to share! Sharon Elementary School was chosen as the Best Elementary School in Walton County in this year’s Readers’ Choice Contest as voted on by the readers of The Walton Tribune! The magazine is scheduled to publish Wednesday, March 12!

🍎 Attendance Matters – Please help your child arrive on time each day to make the most of their learning.

🚗 Safety – For safety reasons we have a new traffic pattern for car dismissal. See map below.

🌼 Spring Forward – Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9th. Don't forget to set your clocks forward!
📚 Reading Month – We’re celebrating a love for reading with special activities throughout March. Encourage your child to read at home!
🏃 Outdoor Fun – Warmer weather means more outdoor activities. Please send your child with weather-appropriate clothing and a refillable water bottle.

The 2025-26 Pre-K Lottery Registration is set to close at 3:00 p.m. on March 7. This process will be conducted 100% online. If you are interested in registering your pre-k student(s) for the 2025-26 school year, please review the following information.

Registering for the Lottery

If you are applying for a pre-k seat, then you will need to do the following:

• Beginning February 7, visit www.wcsdprek.org to enter your student(s) into the lottery drawing according to your zoned school anytime before 3 p.m. on March 7.

• This process is not first-come, first-serve. All entries submitted within these dates, regardless of the time or date submitted, will be entered into the randomized drawing.

• Only one entry per student is allowed.

As Jaguars, we ROAR. We are Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsible. Please review and remind your child that we want to ROAR every day in the cafeteria, hallways, playground, and in the classroom.

Students can purchase items from our ROAR store on the PBIS Rewards app. The ROAR Store Hours will be Monday and Tuesday 8:00-8:40. The items will be delivered on Friday from 8:00-8:40. Students will also qualify to be entered into raffles based on how many points they earned. PK-2 will have monthly raffles and 3-5 will have quarterly raffles.

The pk- 2 raffles will be:

March: Game Night Basket

April: Outdoor Summer Basket

May: Bike or Scooter

The 3-5 will have a quarterly raffle.

Quarter 3: Family Game Night Basket

Quarter 4: Bike or Scooter
