On Monday, there will be no school as we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We wish you a safe and restful three day weekend.

Thank You Bailey!
THANK YOU Bailey Community for your generosity during our 3rd Annual Pop Tab Drive this December! This year was a record-breaking year for us. We set our goal at 50 pounds and shattered that after the first week! Today we delivered 81 POUNDS of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio! That is around 103,680 pop tabs! THANK YOU for continuing to support this service project! Keep collecting those pop tabs and bringing them to Mrs. Gonot or Mrs. Robinson!
5th Grade Students Give Back to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum
Mrs. Robninson's 5th grade students at Bailey Elementary participated in a special project this fall to learn about women in the military. Students selected for their research either a women’s military organization or a woman who made a positive impact in the military. Upon completion of the research, students worked collaboratively to create these tri-fold display boards. Following a field trip to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, their work was on display at the museum for the month of December. Additionally, this weekend the work will be on display at the American Legion Department of Ohio Mid Winter Conference here in Dublin. The students learned a great deal about the incredible contributions of women to our country. They are so proud to share their work.
The Education Outreach Coordinator recently published a blog post about the experience. Click here to learn more.

District Information
Clarification Regarding Immunization Requirements
Recent updates from the CDC have led to questions about school immunization requirements. Dublin City Schools follows requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health, not CDC recommendations. At this time, Ohio has not adopted recent CDC changes related to certain vaccines. As a result, all current immunization requirements remain in place, including:
Meningococcal ACWY for students entering 7th and 12th grades, and
Hepatitis B for students across grade levels.
Families will be notified if Ohio requirements change. For more information, view our Immunization Requirements page or contact your school nurse.
Don’t miss Scioto’s production Suffs
Scioto Theatre presents Suffs, the acclaimed Broadway musical celebrating the young activists who fought for women’s right to vote. As one of only 12 schools nationwide awarded the prestigious Suffs: The Young Are at the Gate grant, Dublin Scioto will be among the first student groups to produce this powerful show as part of AP American Studies’ Immersive History Project—marking the programs’ seventh collaboration. Performances run January 23–25 at the Scioto Performing Arts Center, with tickets available at dshstd.booktix.com.
Poster Contest for K-8 Students
The 2026 Severe Weather Poster Contest is now open to Ohio students in grades K–8! Official rules and entry form can be found here. Entry deadline is March 20.
