A NOTE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Cavalier Families, we are excited to celebrate our grade-level attendance for the first nine weeks! A special shout-out to our 5th grade Cavaliers, who led the campus with an outstanding 96.77% attendance rate! Our 5th graders celebrated their accomplishment with a well-deserved popsicle party! As we begin the second nine weeks, let's keep working together to make every school day count. Remember, when our Cavaliers are present, they have more opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed! Now the big question is… which grade level will take the attendance crown for the second nine weeks?
Let the friendly competition begin!

Lunch Visit Reminder
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to welcome families to join their students for lunch! Please be reminded that lunch visits are limited to one visit per week, per student, with a maximum of two parents, guardians, and/or grandparents who are listed as emergency contacts for the student permitted to attend at one time. Lunch visits are not open on Mondays. For the safety and security of all students, a valid physical photo ID must be presented upon arrival. Please note that school-age children ages 5–17 are not permitted to accompany parents or guardians during lunch visits.
Parents and guardians are asked to arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of their student’s lunch period to allow enough time to check in at the front office and receive a visitor badge before going to the cafeteria. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students and families. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

Katy ISD’s Partners in Education invites you to support families who could use a little extra help

need, and with support from the community, Partners in Education will provide grocery gift
cards and a heartfelt note. Each gift is delivered by a campus staff member, reminding students
that their Katy ISD family cares.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Katy ISD is grateful for the thousands of volunteers who make a difference in our schools each
year. To help maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and staff, all volunteers
serving on or off campus during or outside the instructional day are required to register annually
through the district's Raptor volunteer management system.
A valid government-issued photo ID and email address are required to complete registration.
Your information will remain confidential and will not be shared outside of the volunteer
program, except for applicants who register as a Community Volunteer (not a parent,
grandparent, or guardian of a current Katy ISD student) or as a KEYS Mentor. For these
volunteer roles, the information required to complete a background check will be shared only
with our authorized background screening provider, JDP.
Once registered and approved, volunteers can:
- Sign up as a campus volunteer by completing the volunteer recruitment form provided by their campus organization(s) or by contacting the campus volunteer coordinator.
- Track volunteer hours through their volunteer profile for every Katy ISD campus where they serve.
- Quickly and easily submit individual off-campus volunteer hours
