The "Patriot Pulse"
August 25th - August 29th

"We are STRONGER together"
Brief Message From the Principal
Hello Patriot Families,
We’ve wrapped up Week 3, and progress reports are just three weeks away. Here are a few key updates:
-
Academic Labs: Starting this week! This is an excellent opportunity for students to ask for support and get extra help.
-
Lunch Expectations: Students may not go to the parking lot at lunch unless leaving with a blue slip or on early release. Unauthorized visits will result in consequences.
-
Dress Code: Students not following the dress code will be asked to change, and parents will be contacted. A concerning new trend—walking with pants/shorts unzipped and exposing undergarments—will not be allowed. Please help us address this at home.
I appreciate your support in keeping our campus safe, respectful, and focused on learning. We’re stronger together.
Students—stay mindful of your strengths, seek help when needed, and take pride in making choices that help you succeed.

PHHS Foundation Update
The Foundation held its monthly meeting on August 21st at 6:30 pm. During the meeting, two grants were approved for Ms. Pelayo, one of our freshman Physics teachers, and Ms. Dickens, our Environmental Science teacher. These grants will help cover the costs of classroom equipment and supplies.
The Welcome Back luncheon for the staff was held on August 8th and was a big success. It was wonderful to start the year off by showing some appreciation to our PHHS staff.
The 4.0 breakfast reception will be held on October 21st at 8:15 a.m. for students who received a grade of 4.0 or higher in the spring semester of the previous school year at PHHS. More details, such as the location, will follow as we approach the date.
Lastly, please take the PATRIOT PLEDGE. This is our primary fundraiser, which enables us to provide teacher grants, classroom enrichment, school supplies, staff & student recognition, and non-school-funded field trips. Without your membership, we would be unable to provide our support to students and staff.
