🏹 Virginia Studies
We are finishing Unit 2: Virginia's Indigenous Peoples, and students will take their unit assessment on Friday, October 2.
Next, we will begin Unit 3: The First Permanent English Settlement, where students will learn about Jamestown, including why the English came to America, the role of the Virginia Company, interactions with the Powhatan people, challenges faced by settlers, the arrival of Africans and English women, and the importance of the General Assembly of 1619.
This is a content-rich unit with many important facts and concepts. Please support your child by reviewing study materials at home and encouraging them to share what they have learned each day. Thank you for your partnership in helping your child succeed!
