Middle School - 2/12
Middle School Update - February 12, 2026
Principal's Note
Happy Thursday, families! We are looking forward to a wonderful evening at our Sweetheart Dance tonight. It is always a highlight to see our students and their fathers (or father figures) making memories together.
As we celebrate relationships this week, I also want to share something on my heart. Recently, we have noticed an uptick in friendship conflicts and unkind words being exchanged between students. Middle school can be a complex time socially, but it is also a training ground for character development. My challenge to you this week as a family is to have a conversation this weekend about what it truly means to be Christlike in our interactions with those around us. Please remind your student that our words have power—either to tear down or to build up (Ephesians 4:29)—and that we are called to love one another even when it isn't easy. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our school remains a place where every student feels safe, valued, and seen.
A Few Key Reminders:
Staying Healthy! As we navigate the peak of illness, please help us keep our campus healthy. If your student has a fever or is showing significant symptoms, please keep them home to rest and recover. We want to ensure everyone stays healthy.

Chapel Recap 1/27
This week in chapel, we were honored to have one of our very own, Michelle Grubb, speak to our High School and Middle School students.
Mrs. Grubb currently serves in our Advancement Department as the Development Director for MCA. She has a passion for the students to know Jesus and to be transformed by "renewing their minds" through the word of God. She is also one of our discipleship group leaders, playing a critical role in the spiritual development of her students.
In chapel, she challenged the student body to take captive their thoughts with the understanding of the power our thinking has over our actions. She reminded us that when a thought comes to us, we should put it through the "Philippians Test," asking whether it is true, honorable, right, pure, etc. Our staff love our students and desire for them to live out their faith in Jesus Christ. Mrs. Grubb brought that love to chapel this week.

Course Registration for 9th Grade Classes
The 2026–2027 course registration process will take place during the second week of March and will be built into WIN Time through what we are calling registration conferences. This approach allows us to be intentional in supporting students as they plan ahead.
During these registration conferences, teachers will walk students through the process to ensure they clearly understand graduation requirements, elective options, and what credits they still need in order to graduate. Our goal is to help students make thoughtful, informed decisions about their course selections.
UPDATED time frame:
- Monday, March 9: Students will review their transcript and receive a grade-level-specific registration sheet for the year they are registering for. They will select their desired courses and take the form home to review with a parent/guardian.
- By Friday, March 13: Please enter student course selections into FACTS at home. A step-by-step process will be sent home in the coming weeks.
We appreciate your partnership as we work together to plan well for the upcoming school year.
