WIth a Grateful Heart
My heart is full of gratitude! This past week, I had the honor of being celebrated for Principal's Month, and I cannot begin to express how much your kindness and thoughtfulness meant to me. From the sweet and salty treats, special surprises, and heartfelt cards and notes to the countless students who stopped me throughout the day just to say "Thank you," every gesture truly touched my heart.
I feel incredibly blessed and honored to serve as the principal of Eastwood Knolls International School.
What makes Eastwood Knolls so special is the incredible sense of family and community. We have amazing students, dedicated teachers and staff, and supportive parents who share a commitment to excellence. Together, we are creating a school where every child feels valued, supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.
I am proud to lead this school, but even more grateful to be part of this Dragon Family. Thank you for making me feel so appreciated and for trusting me to help lead a school filled with such wonderful students and families. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and celebrate our successes together.
Together, We Are EKIS!
Important Morning Drop-Off Update
We would like to inform you of an important change to our morning drop-off procedures.
The El Paso Police Department recently visited our campus and expressed concerns regarding our crossing guard directing vehicle traffic at the intersection of Wedgwood and Buckwood during morning arrival. We were informed that our crossing guard is not authorized to direct vehicle traffic and that continuing this practice could result in citations and/or other consequences.
We understand that this change may impact our morning drop-off routines and create some challenges for our families. Please know that the safety of our students, families, staff, and community remains our highest priority.
We are working closely with the district to explore possible solutions that will help ensure a safe and efficient morning arrival process.
During this transition, we kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and cooperation. We also remind everyone to drive cautiously, follow all traffic laws, and remain mindful of students and pedestrians in the area.
We appreciate your continued partnership as we work toward a solution that puts safety first.
October Attendance Challenge – Popping Into School Every Day!
Together We Stack Up Success, Not Tardies!
New 9 weeks, New start
This year, we are working together to reduce tardies and help every student start the day ready to learn! Beginning the second week of school, we will launch our campus initiative: “Together We Stack Up Success, Not Tardies!”
Students who accumulate 6 tardies within a nine-week grading period will receive lunch detention. At the beginning of each new nine weeks, students will have a fresh start and another opportunity to build positive habits.
Every minute of learning matters! Thank you, parents, for partnering with us to help our Dragons arrive on time, prepared, and ready for success.
Together, we carry the standard. Together, we stack up success!
