Our school nurse, Tammy, is seeing an increase in visits to the health office. In order to keep our students and their families healthy, please read the following from our district website-

"Children should not be in school if they have a temperature of 100 degrees or above. Children who have a contagious illness or are experiencing vomiting, diarrhea or other symptoms of illness that may prohibit active participation in school routines should not be in school until appropriate treatment is secured. Students should be free of elevated temperature, vomiting, and diarrhea symptoms for 24 hours prior to their return to school."

Being in school is a top priority for Palmer Lake students. We understand that sometimes your students may need to be picked up from school early. Regular dismissal begins at 3:15pm for walkers and parent pick up students. We cannot guarantee an early release if you come after 2:45pm. Students are learning, and being taught, until dismissal time. Thank you for understanding!

If your student(s) are going to be absent, please call the Palmer Lake attendance line at 763-561-1930 (ext. 1) before 10 a.m. that day. We understand that there are other forms of communication (ex: TalkingPoints or texting/calling the teacher directly) but we prefer that parents/guardians call the attendance line so the absence can be properly documented.
