TALON TALK
π¬ Principal's Message
Hello, Reynolds Families!
We're back in full swing after our shortened week! It's been energizing to return to our regular schedule and see students fully engaged in their learning. This week has been packed with exciting activities both in and out of the classroom, including strong performances from our students at UIL Academic Competitions, robotics competitions, and various sporting events. The dedication and talent our Eagles are showing across all areas is impressive!
Important Parking Information from the City of Prosper
The City of Prosper has received complaints about parking on neighborhood streets during drop-off and pick-up times. On the south side of campus (Gorgeous, Butterfly, and Calla Lilly), cars parking on both sides create issues with emergency vehicle access and increase the risk of students being hit by moving vehicles. On the north side (Trail Drive, Gray Lane, and Wilson Drive), "No Parking" signs are posted in these areas. Be advised that Prosper PD will be conducting traffic enforcement starting today. Please use designated drop-off and pick-up areas during arrival and dismissal.
Welcome Mr. Leonard Stevens
We're pleased to introduce Mr. Leonard Stevens, who will be serving Reynolds as a substitute assistant principal. Mr. Stevens joins us as Mrs. Crosbie begins her work planning for her new role as principal of Bridges Middle School. Mr. Stevens is a retired educator who has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent in a variety of districts! We're grateful to have Mr. Stevens' leadership and support during this transition and look forward to the contributions he'll make to our campus community.
Electives Expo Success
We were excited to see all of our incoming 6th grade families who joined us for our Electives Expo! The turnout was fantastic, and we appreciate them taking the time to learn about the diverse program options available to students. The involvement in the course selection process helps ensure our students finds the right fit for their interests and goals.
Course Selection Reminder
As we continue through the course selection period for next school year, please remember that counselors are available to answer any questions you might have about the process. This is an important step in planning your child's academic path, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need guidance or clarification.
Coffee with the Counselors
Speaking of Course Selection, we're hosting our Coffee with the Counselors next week! This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to come meet with our counseling team and ask questions about course selection. We'd love to see you there and help address anything you might need as we navigate the scheduling process together.
Celebrating Our Teachers
We recently recognized our Star Polishers - our Teachers of the Quarter - for their outstanding contributions to our school community. These educators go above and beyond every day to create meaningful learning experiences for students. We're grateful for their commitment and the positive impact they have on our campus.
Dr. Jess Mullins
Principal, Reynolds Middle School
