GREAT NEWS from around the District
Elementary:
- We want to thank Mrs. Baxter, the volunteers, and our students for their dedication, countless hours of practice, and the outstanding performance they presented. We appreciate our families for taking the time to attend and celebrate the hard work and talent of our students.
- Our first winners of the March is Reading Month ticket drawing are Weston Lorenz, Lily Steele, Ava Lakies, and Josh Guttry. Each student read at least 100 minutes last week and turned their reading ticket in at the designated location.
- Mr. Eeling form Really Great Reading conducted classroom walkthroughs with individual teacher conferences and then ended the days leading our professional development directly aligned to our needs for our students. We are so grateful for this opportunity.

Visiting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra
On Thursday, March 12, the Beginning Band traveled to Detroit to hear the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform as part of an educational concert series. The performance brought the book Frederick’s Fables to life through a musical score composed specifically to accompany the stories.
Students had the unique opportunity to hear composer Michael Abels narrate four fables from the book while the orchestra performed his music. The experience combined literature and music in a powerful and engaging way.
This musical outing was well received by our students. Thank you to the chaperones who assisted and to our students for representing our school so well with their excellent behavior!

Superintendent Message
Happy Friday, everyone!
It was another strong week across our district, and I want to thank our staff, students, and families for the continued effort and energy you bring each day. From classrooms to extracurricular activities, it’s clear that great things are happening throughout our schools.
It's hard to believe that we are moving into the 4th quarter. As we move into the new marking period next week, our students are preparing for a strong finish to the school year. This is always a busy time, and we appreciate the support from families in encouraging their students to stay focused.
Spring is just around the corner, hopefully, and with it comes an exciting stretch of activities and opportunities for our students. The momentum we are seeing right now is a great reminder of what makes our school community so special.
Thank you again to our outstanding staff, and thank you to our families and community for your continued support.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
