A Message from Principal Bjurman

April 2, 2026

CPS Families,

As we move into April and begin to see signs of spring all around us, it is a wonderful time to reflect on the growth happening inside our school each day. This season reminds us that learning, much like spring, is a process of steady growth, new opportunities, and continued care.

At Cambridge Primary School, our mission is clear and meaningful, to educate, empower, and inspire every student, every day to achieve their full potential. This mission guides the work we do in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and in every interaction with students and families..

Our partnership with families and the broader community remains one of the most important parts of helping students reach their full potential. When school and home work together with a shared purpose, students benefit in meaningful ways. Thank you for the encouragement, support, and trust you provide each day.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we remain committed to helping every student continue to grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. There is still so much important learning ahead, and we are excited for all that spring will bring.

Thank you for being an important part of our school community and for partnering with us in this important work every day.

Go Big Blue!

Spring Fever & Our Caring Critters

Dear Families:

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, many of our K–2 students start to feel a little extra wiggly and excited. This burst of energy—often called spring fever—is completely normal! But it can make mornings slower and school days a bit more challenging.

Here’s how we can help our Caring Critters stay on time and ready to learn:

Keep Mornings Simple & Calm

Stick to regular bedtimes (even when it’s still light outside).
Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.
Use a simple morning checklist to build independence.
Leave a few extra minutes so no one feels rushed.

Being on time helps our Caring Critters start the day confidently and not miss important learning time.

Support Focus & Engagement

Encourage outdoor play after school to burn off energy.
Keep homework and bedtime routines consistent.
Ask positive, specific questions about their day.
Celebrate effort—big and small!

Spring energy can be a wonderful thing. With steady routines and encouragement, our Caring Critters can turn that excitement into curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Let’s make spring the season of strong starts and joyful learning!
