Memorial Update

Good Morning Memorial Families,

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope it was a terrific weekend for everyone and that you are ready for the week ahead.

On Friday morning, we held our first play day at Memorial. Students played board games, card games, designed airports, played imaginative games, and built structures out of blocks, legos, and other building toys. We watched as they navigated disputes and disagreements, and encouraged them to use their Portrait of a Learner Superhero qualities to overcome challenges they faced. We were amazed by the ways that students communicated, collaborated, innovated, and used their creative thinking to have a very enjoyable and fun-filled morning together. We look forward to doing this again next year!

Each year, the Memorial School Council designs a parent survey. The survey is sent to families so that we may get critical feedback needed to guide next year's school improvement plan and design school goals. Our hope is that sometime in the next few weeks, you will take ten minutes to sit down to reflect on what Memorial does well that you'd like to keep, what you would like to see us focus on in the coming years, and any other feedback that you want us to think about as we begin to plan for next year's goals.
