A Message From Mrs. Carmody A Message From Mrs. Carmody

Dear Fremont Families,

As we head into Spring Break, I want to wish you all a restful and rejuvenating week. This break is an opportunity for our students to step away from their daily academic routines and return with the energy needed for our final stretch of the school year. Whether you are staying local or traveling, I hope you enjoy the change of pace.

My tip for the week is to prioritize downtime. In our busy lives, we often feel the need to fill every hour with activities, but children benefit immensely from unstructured time. Allowing your child space to rest or simply engage in quiet play helps reduce stress and boosts creative thinking. A little mental reset now will go a long way in supporting their focus when we return to the classroom.

Student and staff safety is our primary concern at Fremont School District 79. We will be practicing our ALICE intruder drill the week of April 17th at the Elementary, Intermediate and Middle School. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. To learn more about the District's safety and security measures, please click here. If you would like to have your child opt out of this drill, please contact me at bcarmody@fsd79.org. You can also click here to access a resource titled Age-Appropriate Guidelines for ALICE Training at Any Age.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus, refreshed and ready to learn. Have a wonderful break!

Sincerely,

Beth Carmody

Principal

🍀The Great Leprechaun Hunt!🍀

Our Kindergartners turned into tiny engineers this week to build their very own leprechaun traps! While those sneaky visitors managed to escape (leaving only a trail of glitter behind!), the kids had a blast designing these creative traps. Check out the photos of their "gold" bait and clever ladders!
