Home of the Wolfpack
Thank You Wolfpack Families
Last week, we had the opportunity to recognize the incredible work of our staff—and this week, we want to extend that same appreciation to YOU, our Great Oak families.
Your support, involvement, and partnership make all the difference in the success of our students and our school. From encouraging your students at home, to staying connected with teachers, to showing up for activities, performances, and school events, your dedication strengthens our entire Wolfpack community.
We truly could not do this work without you. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and walking alongside us as we help our students grow, thrive, and discover their potential. Great Oak is stronger because of our families, and we are grateful for everything you do.

Governing Board Members Visit Great Oak Classrooms
This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming TVUSD Governing Board Members Schwartz and Barham to our campus. Their visit included stops in both science and social science classrooms, where they had the opportunity to see our students’ learning in action.
In social science, they observed the early stages of student-choice projects as well as engaging student presentations. Our science classrooms showcased hands-on learning through molecule and mitosis modeling activities, along with a cell membrane lab that highlighted inquiry-based instruction at its best.
It was a wonderful display of the Scholarship that defines Great Oak, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share the exceptional work of our students and staff.

Counseling Corner - UPDATED INFORMATION
PBIS: No GO List Reminders and Important Forms
If your student has accumulated 8 or more hours of detention due to issues such as tardies, single period truancies, and/or disciplinary actions they are on the school's NO GO List. This designation means they are currently ineligible to make purchases from the school bookstore, including tickets to dances and parking permits. It will also deny students entry into WSB and other school events such as athletic contests. For athletes, this also includes being unable to leave school early for away game transportation or contests.
To be removed from the NO GO List, students must reduce their total detention time to below 8 hours. Detention can be served during the following times:
Before school: 7:50 AM – 8:20 AM room 306
During lunch: Room 306
Saturday School: Counts for 4 hours
We encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities to clear their hours and regain eligibility for school activities.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please feel free to contact Mr. Morton, PBIS Coordinator, if you have any questions.

Dance in Motion Shines on Stage
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of Dance in Motion, a dynamic showcase that brought together every dance program on our campus for an evening of artistry, collaboration, and school spirit. Each ensemble took the stage with energy and passion, highlighting the incredible talent and dedication of our students.
This production was more than a performance—it was a celebration of community. Students supported one another across programs, demonstrating teamwork, creativity, and the joy that comes from sharing their hard work with an audience. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and excited to recognize the teachers and coaches who guided them throughout the process.
Thank you to our families for your continued support. Dance in Motion was a beautiful reminder of the vibrant performing arts culture at Great Oak, and we look forward to many more inspiring moments ahead!
