Our Character Strong focus for August was RESPECT! The following students were chosen as students going above and beyond this month demonstrating our Character Strong focus. We have also had several students recognized during our morning announcements for this trait as well. We are proud of our tigers.

If you need assistance in accessing your child's PowerSchool account please reach out to Ms. Aldridge in the front office. PowerSchool is used to access grades and attendance information.

We are not able to change any students' transportation after 3:00

• Doors open 8:40
• Tardy bell rings 9:00
• Dismissal 3:30

Anyone arriving after 9:00 or leaving prior to 3:00 will be counted as tardy. Please notify the office of changes to your child's transportation.

Per the GCCS handbook;

Students will be recognized on the daily announcements and will receive a pencil from the office to acknowledge their special day. Please refrain from having flowers, balloons, etc. delivered to school. If you are sending in a birthday treat you will need to approve this with the teacher prior. Only healthy snacks are allowed per our GCCS Wellness Policy. Please ask the office if you have any questions.

Birthday invitations are not allowed to be distributed at school.

Chromebooks have been issued for all of our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Please be sure to review the expectations with your student at home. Kindergarten through 2nd grade will have chromebooks for in class use only.

Greater Clark County Schools and TJES utilizes School Messenger, a quick alert messaging service that is being utilized to communicate COVID-19, weather related closures/delays, emergencies, and general communications such as important school announcements or events. Text “yes” to the number 67587 to receive text alerts from GCCS.
