Parent Teacher Conferences
Students will be coming home this week with your scheduled conference slip. All conferences are 20 minutes in length and will be held in person in your student’s classroom. Your assigned conference slot is based on the day and time your conference was scheduled in the fall.
Once you receive the confirmation slip next week, please cut and return the bottom portion of the form by 2/9/24 with your student to confirm your conference day and time. Please call Stephanie Ford, administrative assistant, if you have any questions at 785.438.4343.
Campus Care Clinic

3rd Quarter IXL Challenge
Our 3rd quarter IXL challenge begins now and runs until March 7th. Students may work toward this challenge at both school and home. The student from each K-5 classroom with the most skills proficient by March 7th will earn an ice cream party and recess on March 8th. The class with the highest average proficient skills will earn a pizza party and recess on March 8th.

TPS Weather Notifications
TPS Weather Notifications: As the weather begins to cool, we want to remind families and staff of school closing notification procedures. When making decisions about closing school, a number of factors come into play, including the safety of travel but also the safety of students who will be home during the day.
Should school be canceled, we will:
- Send a text, email, and/or phone call via SchoolMessenger
- Update the district social media pages
- Update the district website
- Contact our local media partners

Updated Traffic Signs
The City of Topeka will be updating the signs on Chelsea Dr. from SW 27 Ter. to SW 25th St to support our school in keeping students and families safe during arrival and dismissal. The updated signs will now read 'No Stopping, Standing, Parking on School Days from 8am-4pm.' An email will be sent to families when the City officially updates these signs.
The stop sign at the end of the front driveway not says 'No left turn 8am-10am and 3-4pm."
We thank you for your support in keeping the students safe.
Dillon's Shopper Card
Do you have a Dillon's Shopper Card? Help our school as you shop for groceries. When using your Dillons card, designate McClure Elementary as your community rewards benefactor and your donations will go to directly support our school. Sign in to your Dillon’s account or create an account to enroll. Once signed in, you can enroll or update your Community Rewards under your account settings.
