A Note From The Principal

Dear Ford Families,

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our students' accomplishments for the first grading period! We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to get all of our visitors into the building safely.

Celebrating our students together is always a highlight for our campus, and we are already evaluating ways to streamline our entry process for future events to ensure every grade level has plenty of time to celebrate.

Attendance Competition Averages

Congratulations to 3rd grade for earning their grade level reward. They are now working on earning it a second time. 1st and 4th grade students are getting close to meeting the goal as well. Stay tuned to see who meets their goal next.

Fire Safety Month

October is Fire Safety month and our PreK students enjoyed learning from our local fire fighters.

Attendance Notes- Important Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that if you are emailing an attendance note, please send your attendance notes and absence excuses to contactford@conroeisd.net.

Sending your notes to this email address will ensure they are routed to the appropriate staff member and processed in a timely manner.

Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application — Have You Applied?

We want to remind all families about the importance of completing the Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2026–2027 school year.

Even if you are unsure whether your family qualifies, we encourage you to complete the application. You may be eligible for free or reduced-price meals based on your household income and family size. Completing the application may also help our school qualify for important funding and resources that support student learning.

The application is confidential, and we encourage families to take a few minutes to complete it.

Gifted and Talented Nominations

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted until December 18, 2026. You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal.
