FCS is excited to welcome you back!
“And I will never again underestimate the power of anticipation.
There is no better boost in the present than an invitation into the future." -Caroline Kepnes
In a school setting, August fills everyone with the sense of anticipation and renewed purpose.
New faces, rooms, and routines. Reacquiring livelihood, implementing exciting lesson plans and savvy room arrangements.
FCS staff feel a similar sense. With staff and teachers returning, many large summer projects are complete and daily operations preparations are winding down to the final touches.
Consult your building administrators and custodians about which areas are available as buildings open.
Anticipation is difficult to resist and it's compelling to return while buildings are quiet. Although all of our custodians work magic, there is still much to be done.
Many hours of waxing becomes lackluster under feet, furniture, and liquids. Allow drying time for floor wax to cure. Watch for barricaded areas signs and enlist sufficient help to carry rather than drag furniture. P.S. Be sure to let the custodians know their work is shining brightly!
Locked doors are the first line of defense
Work orders are required for all key transactions. However, one work order can include multiple individuals by including the list in the work order or as an attachment.
To promote security for yourself and others, keyholders should:
- Never mail, share, or internally transfer keys
- Be approved judiciously for those needing frequent access
- Be aware keys cost $25 when lost and not returned as required
Contact the Key Shop's locksmiths, Blake Bennington and Justin Neal for assistance.
