- Full Band Rehearsal (Band and Color Guard), 5-8 pm (B shadows excused from rehearsal)

4A UIL State Marching Band Championships
Our prelims performance at the UIL 4A State Marching Competition is at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, November 1st at the Alamodome. Chaperones and load crew have already been selected for the performance. Transportation will be provided for load crew to and from the Alamodome.
Check out this article about the Wolf Band attending the state competition for he second consecutive year. We are so proud of our community, and we cannot wait to represent Comal ISD and Davenport HS at the state level again. It has been a team effort, and the support this season has been nothing short of overwhelming from parents, community members, and our school district.

Additional Spectator Parking Info
A limited amount of spectator parking will be available adjacent to the Alamodome in LOT B. Once these lots are full spectators must find parking elsewhere. There are numerous public parking lots west of I-37 in the vicinity of the Convention Center. These lots will open each morning approximately 2 hours prior to the start of the contest. See the map below. Parking rates are set by the City of San Antonio. The spectator parking rate is $15.00 and is subject to change. There are no in and out privileges. There is no onsite parking available for spectator buses.

Students need to bring these items with them to school on Friday.
-Grey Wolf Band water bottle filled with ice and water
-Formal Uniform Parts for game
- Band - long black socks, marching shoes, compression shirt and shorts, gloves
- Color guard - show hair and makeup, body tights, long black socks, show undergarments, and guard shoes
-Flip folder with this music inside
Schedule for the day
2:30 All band and color guard students report to the band hall to load and change into half uniform
3:45 Inspection and pass out food (wind instruments under charter busses)
4:00 Depart for Marble Falls HS (eat on the bus, travel in bibbers)
6:00 Arrive and unload Dusty (not taking Rusty, wind instruments under charter busses)
7:00 Pre-game ceremonies
7:30 Davenport @ Mable Falls HS Football Game
12:45 Approximate pick-up time at DHS Band Hall - A remind message will be send out when we are on the road with a more accurate pick-up time

UIL State Marching Competition Shirts
State shirts and hoodies that were ordered by family and supports last week can be picked up on Monday between 7:30-8:30 pm outside the band hall.
GVTC Canned Food Drive
We are participating in the GVTC canned food drive again this year. The band and color guard are specifically collecting Turkey Cooking Bags and Stuffing Mix. Drop off is at the band hall to Mr. Keyes. We are setting a goal that every band and color guard member donates one box of stuffing. The last day to donate is November 6th.

Directions for Syncing Charms Calendar
School Code: DavenportHSBand
For iPhones
- Go into the Settings app
- Touch "Accounts & Passwords"
- On the Accounts & Passwords screen, touch "Add Account"
- On the Add Account screen, touch "Other"
- Under Calendars, touch "Add Subscribed Calendar"
- For the Server value, enter the URL of the public calendar:
https://www.charmsoffice.com/charms/calsync.asp?s=DavenportHSBand - Touch "Next" in the upper right corner.
- It will verify the server then show a subscription page. Change the description if you like.
- Touch "Save" to save the subscription
For Android Phones
To sync with Android devices, you will need to use your Google account and have a Google calendar created.
In your Google calendar on a real computer:
- Under "Other Calendars" click the Add link.
- Select "Add by URL"
- Enter the following URL:

- Google will begin to sync your calendar, and it will appear on the screen.
- Click "Settings"
- Change the long name of the new calendar to something you will remember such as "Charms Calendar"
- Your phone should automatically be set to sync with your Google calendar.
- On your phone: Click on "Calendar", then bring up the settings for the calendar. Click on Calendar Sync. You should see your google account listed already. Make sure Auto-Sync is checked.
Remind Groups
Parents and students, please take a moment to join the appropriate groups by texting the code including the @ to 81010. You do not need to re-join if you were in the correct group last year.

Fee Payments
- Please consider paying with cash or a check to avoid the 4% plus $1 per transaction service charge for using a credit card. You may pay your booster fees online at this link. The instrument usage fee can be paid at this link.
- Payment plans are available upon request.
- The fair share fee ($300), marching shoes/color guard uniform items (various cost) will be paid to the booster (Check to Davenport Band Boosters) and the instrument usage fee ($80) will be paid to the school (Check to Davenport High School).
