On behalf of the entire school community, I hope the summer months provide time for rest, reflection, and meaningful moments with family and friends.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026, and best wishes for a safe and enjoyable summer.

Multicultural Night
On May 20th the SHS Commons was filled with savory aromas and colorful displays! The World Language Honor Societies, along with World Language teachers and Mrs. Schrager hosted Multicultural Night for the third consecutive year, this time combined with participants from the middle school. In total, 24 booths featured information and realia. This year our evening featured three cultural dances: Peruvian dance by Saory Auquí, Irish step dance by Keely Fagan, and Bollywood dance by Anwesha Chandra and Prarthana Ray.
World Language Honor Society Induction
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and the Société Honoraire de Français inducted a combined 40 new members on April 23rd! The event began with a piano prelude by senior Olivia Mishtal, and included an opening address by advisor Laura Tinnirella, a feature address by department leader Dr. Katie Thorner, and the closing address by Principal Anthony Hibbert. Each honor society inducted its members with a candle lighting ceremony led by Camile Fawthrop, Anna-Maria Nastase and Noora Khaled for SHF, and Nuvia Torres-Flores, Amelia Shanks, and Dalia Abouelleil for SHH. French inductees responded with the motto “Avoir une autre langue, c’est posséder une deuxième âme.” Spanish inductees responded with the motto: “Todos a una.” The inductees then recited the society’s pledge all together, led by vice presidents Makenna Sattan and Anwesha Chandra. This year, SHS’s exchange student Lucia Sanjuan Armendariz was presented with an honorary membership for her participation in several SHH activities throughout the year.
