FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Parents & Families,
As we work together to ensure a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal for all students, we want to remind you that our children are watching and learning from our example every day. By following our established procedures, you help the process run smoothly and show your child what it means to be a good citizen—respecting rules, considering the safety of others, and demonstrating patience.
We know our students, parents, and staff are still getting used to our process, and it will get smoother each day—but it takes everyone following the procedures to make that happen.
To keep everyone safe, please remember:
-
Drive Safely: Stay at a safe speed, avoid phone use, and be patient with staff and other drivers.
-
Do not cut off other cars in the line.
-
Do not enter through the exit.
-
It is unsafe to park on the church side and walk your child through the traffic flow.
-
All students must be dropped off through our arrival lines. Dropping off in the parking lot or on the other side of the church is not safe for our students, as they are not monitored.
-
No students should be dropped off in the back by the portables.
Please also remember:
-
Our doors do not open until 7:15 a.m. Students dropped off before this time will not be permitted into the building and are not supervised by Life School staff. Being dropped off without adult supervision is not safe for our students.
Our students’ safety is our top priority. Thank you for leading with integrity, following our procedures, and helping us make each day a safe and positive experience for all.
Free Breakfast for ALL Students
ALL students, regardless of free/reduced/paid lunch status, receive a free breakfast at school. We are able to provide this benefit to all students by parents taking time to complete the free and reduced lunch application. If you have not already received a letter from the district indicating your free/reduced/paid lunch status, please take a moment to complete the lunch application.
Cashless School Year
With the exception of our weekly Smencil sales, our campus will be going cashless this year. Most purchases—including $3 Free Dress Days, concession sales, spirit wear, used uniforms, field trips, and library fees—will be available through online payments using QR codes.

BIRTHDAY THURSDAY
On the last Thursday of each month, we celebrate students with birthdays in that month. Each class holds a short celebration at the end of the day. If you’d like to send a treat for your child’s class, please reach out to their teacher in advance. We kindly ask that treats be easy to pass out—such as cookies or cupcakes—as cakes and pies can be difficult to cut and serve.
Please note that Birthday Thursday celebrations are for students only; parents are not invited to attend. Also, birthday treats should only be sent for these monthly celebrations—treats sent at other times may not be distributed.
LUNCH VISITORS AFTER LABOR DAY
DEVELOPING LEADERS AT LSRO
Weekly I Will Statements
During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.
LifeLeader School Rules - Growing Leaders of Character
LifeLeader School Rules - Growing Leaders of Character
During the first six weeks of school, we’re introducing our LifeLeader School Rules to help students grow as leaders of strong character. Every two weeks, we’ll focus on one of the three school rules, reinforcing positive behaviors that support our mission.
We invite you to partner with us by asking your child how they are demonstrating these school rules both at school and at home.
Click here to view the teacher guide with examples of behaviors that align with each rule
