Keeping Our Car Rider Line Safe and Efficient
Dear Parents and Families,
Thank you for helping us make student safety our top priority during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up! A smooth and efficient car rider line takes teamwork, patience, and attention from everyone. We appreciate your partnership in helping all students arrive at and leave school safely.
How Our School Staff Helps
Our staff works hard to keep students safe and our car rider line moving efficiently by:
Opening doors and assisting students with loading and unloading to help students enter and exit vehicles safely and quickly.
Directing vehicles to pull all the way forward. This keeps the line moving and prevents gaps between cars where students could potentially step between vehicles.
Reminding students to walk along the rocks on the sidewalk, away from the curb, to maintain a safe distance from moving vehicles.
How Parents Can Help
We ask all families to help us maintain a safe and efficient car rider line by remembering these important reminders:
Go slow. Please drive cautiously and be alert for students, staff, and other vehicles.
Pull all the way forward. Closing gaps between vehicles helps keep traffic moving and reduces opportunities for students to walk between cars.
Phones down, eyes up! Please put away your phones and stay focused on the road and the students around you.
Be patient and stay in line. Unexpectedly pulling out of line to go around another vehicle can create confusion, cause traffic jams, and distract drivers from watching for pedestrians. Please remain in line and follow staff directions.
We know that mornings can be busy and afternoons can feel rushed, but taking a few extra moments to prioritize safety makes a tremendous difference.
Thank you for your continued support, patience, and cooperation. We are grateful for our families who make student safety a priority and help everyone get where they are going safely and efficiently. Together, we can make our car rider line a safe and positive experience for everyone!
With appreciation,
Our School Team

Our PTA Fall Parties are coming up on November 20 in the gym, and we’d love your help making the day special for our students! Volunteer sign-ups are now open. Please remember that volunteers must be connected to a Pathfinder student to sign up.
A few things to know before signing up:
Volunteers will remain at their designated station for the full 50-minute party rather than rotating with their child's class. This will help save time and keep the parties running smoothly.
Please avoid bringing younger siblings, if possible, so your time and attention can be dedicated to helping our Pathfinder students.
Thank you for volunteering your time and helping make these celebrations fun for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
🎅🏽 Santa Breakfast
Our annual PTA Santa Breakfast is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate the season with our Pathfinder families! This year’s breakfast will once again be FREE for everyone to attend. Bring the whole family for a warm meal, holiday cheer, and a chance to visit with Santa.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup the evening before and support during the event. If you’re able to lend a hand, please sign up using the volunteer link provided.

📱 Text Notifications
A district communication medium is our School Messenger system that we use for phone calls and text notifications. As with any school district, PCR-3 must often contact hundreds of parents quickly for sudden changes in schedules due to emergencies, cancellation, or just important announcements.
If you have provided a cell phone number, parents can opt in to receive text alerts and messages. Simply text "YES" to 67587 (standard text messaging fees apply). New families should have received an opt-in text this week.
Thank you to our Pirates R.O.C.K. Star!
