Pre- K

Springtime in Pre-K has been full of excitement and fun! We learned about plants as we planted our own grass seeds that we cared for and watched grow. We also learned about the butterfly life cycle as we observed caterpillars in our classroom. We enjoyed watching them grow, create their chrysalis, and change to butterflies! We ended our zoo animal theme with a wonderful trip to the Birmingham Zoo where we were able to see many of the animals that we had learned so many fun facts about! Our Pre-K Rocks musical performance was a great success and we had so much fun singing on the stage for our families. As we complete our time in Pre-K we will be looking forward to field day and an end of the year celebration at Veteran’s Park. We have learned and grown so much and have made great friends along the way! Kindergarten here we come!

Kindergarten

We have had an amazing 4th Nine weeks of Kindergarten. We are so proud of our Kindergarteners’ hard work and how much they have learned this year. Our last nine weeks of school have been full of learning and lots of fun. We started off having an Easter egg hunt. The students loved searching for eggs with their classmates. Next, we ventured on our farm field trip. We were so thankful to have many parents join us while we explored the farm and met many of the farm animals. In April, the students worked hard to prepare for our Gingerbread Man performance. The students did such a great job and the show was amazing! To end the year, the students played hard and had so much fun during field day. We also celebrated all the students' success with an end-of-the-year Luau Party. We want to thank all of our families for their support this year! We hope everyone has a great Summer!

First Grade

First grade has had so much fun learning this school year! Our students have rocked their way through reading, math and spelling test! They’ve learned how to tell time, and they can create and define 2D and 3D shapes. We ended the school year with fun celebrations on first grade hall and field day!

Second Grade

This 4th Quarter has been very busy for Second grade. Adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers, working with time, money, and geometrical shapes, identifying conjunctions and prepositional phrases, as well as learning many prefixes, suffixes, and vocabulary words are just a few of the things they have learned. They have been working on writing skills, too, writing informational pieces and formal letters. Partner work is a big part of learning in 2nd grade. Students learn to share their ideas and work together to come up with a plan and finish a project.

Third Grade

Third grade has had an incredible finish to the school year! We rocked the ACAP test, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students for their hard work, focus, and determination. Their growth this year has been amazing, and they are more than ready to take on fourth grade! We also wrapped up the year with some exciting adventures, including a fun and educational field trip to the Prattville Nature Center and a special outing to see the Shrek musical preview at Thompson High School. We’re so proud of everything our third graders have accomplished and can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for them!
