METCO Newsletter
Bedford METCO | September 2025 | Week 9/22
Dear METCO Families,
Many of you may have seen the recent social media post from a parent regarding the incident that took place at the football game a few weekends ago. Please know that we were made aware right away and worked closely with both schools to ensure the individual responsible was held accountable. Our program will always stand for unity, respect, and acceptance, reminding us that we are stronger when we come together, not when we are divided.
We’ve also started Parent-Teacher Conferences across the district. Be sure to check your emails from your child’s school so you don’t miss the chance to connect with teachers and support your student’s success.
For our high school families, there are some exciting HBCU events happening soon. If you or your student are interested in attending, please keep an eye on the deadlines so you don’t miss out on these valuable opportunities.
The METCO Directors’ Association (MDA) is also hosting a Day at the Park at Franklin Park Zoo for all 33 districts. We encourage families to sign up it will be a wonderful day of fun, community, and connection for everyone. Info and dates coming soon!
Looking ahead, we’ve begun planning with our Parent Development Committee (PDC). We’d love for families not only to join in the events but also to attend our monthly Zoom meetings, where your voices and ideas help shape the year.
Finally, we’ve attached the late bus schedule for your convenience. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support we are so grateful to have such a strong and caring community walking this journey with us.
With appreciation,
The METCO Team
