Parent Advisory Group

MSD’s Student Services team will host informational meetings in the coming weeks for parents interested in discussing current issues and events in the special education community. We will focus on collaboration to promote, understand and support students receiving special education services in the McMinnville School District.

Interested? Contact Katie Morris at 503.565.4051 to register. Click here for more information about local family health services.

What is Peachjar?

MSD uses a digital delivery system called Peachjar for family e-flyers. You do not need to sign up for Peachjar, and the e-flyers are also available on the homepage of your school’s website under the blue Peachjar button.

Families will receive a “Welcome” email and may create an account if you’d like to manage your deliveries or opt-out altogether.

Menstrual Dignity Act

MSD has stocked school bathrooms with free menstrual products for students. The Menstrual Dignity Act (HB 3294, 2021) created the requirement for school districts to provide these products for all menstruating students in public schools in Oregon, including elementary, middle and high school students.

This legislation addresses an unmet need identified by students, school leaders, and medical and public health professionals.

Research into attendance issues found that one in four students have missed class due to a lack of access to menstrual products, and one in five students has struggled to afford menstrual products.
