Wishing our families a Happy Mother's Day!

After Thursday and Friday, the warm weather has arrived! NYC has so much to offer - take advantage of the parks, outside activities, and the warm sun.

This week was Teacher Appreciation Week. PS 199Q has the most dedicated, passionate, and hardworking teachers. I am grateful for every single one of them. We celebrate our staff not only this week but each and every day for their hard work that continues when they go home to plan, research, and learn.

Great news! Pre-K offers will be released on May 17th. Families, you will have until Tuesday, June 27th, to accept the main offer and register. You will need to accept the offer in the MySchools, and registration documents must be handed into the program by that date. To learn more about the program, visit the NYCDOE General Pre-K Webpage.

Parents, you will receive an email if your child(ren) were selected for a Summer Rising seat. As a reminder to families, PS 199Q does not make any of the selections.

A great way to end the week with a performance from the NYPD Marching Band!

We will be congratulating the students from PS/IS 119 who participated in the American Debate League.

Unfortunately, Senator Gianaris cannot attend the meeting. We will meet the Senator at a later date.

Eye On Education, a mobile eye exam service company, will be coming to PS 199Q on May 25, 2023.
