News from the Lower School
October 2025

From the Desk of Mrs. Smith
It’s hard to believe that we are already welcoming the month of October! The leaves are beginning to change, the temperatures are cooling, and the days are getting shorter. Fall has officially arrived!
Over the past month, our teachers have been working hard to build strong classroom communities and get to know the unique needs of each of our students. We are incredibly proud of the effort, focus, and growth we have already seen. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to support your child or your family.
A Friendly Reminder: Please Arrive ON TIME, EVERY DAY!
Starting the school day on time makes a big difference! Arriving on time allows your child to settle in, prepare for the day, and begin learning with their classmates without missing important instruction.
Please make sure your child arrives at school no later than 8:15 a.m. each morning.
Thank you for helping us ensure that every student has a positive and successful start to their school day!

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
For the fifth year in a row, our school is excited to participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program! Through this special program, students will have the opportunity to try a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school year as healthy, nutritious snacks.
We are especially proud to have been awarded this grant through the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, which was awarded to just over 200 schools across the state. This program gives our students the chance to explore new foods, learn about healthy eating habits, and discover different fruits and vegetables they may not have tried before.
We kicked off this year’s program with a of blueberries, broccoli, and plums! We look forward to introducing our students to many more choices throughout the year. We hope this program continues to encourage our students to be adventurous eaters and make healthy choices both at school and at home.
