Whether you are returning to Cox or joining us for the first time, we are grateful to have you as part of our school family. We are excited for our annual Donuts with Grown-Ups hosted by the PTA on Friday, September 4 from 7:45–8:10 a.m.! 🍩

This special morning is a chance for our students to celebrate the important grown-ups in their lives. Students are welcome to invite any special adult in their life to come enjoy a donut and spend a little time together at Cox! Please RSVP and let us know how many guests will be attending so we can adequately prepare for everyone.

The No Fuss Fundraiser is coming September 1!

This easy, no-fuss fundraiser directly supports the Cox PTA, helping us provide programs, events, and support for our Cox students, families, and teachers throughout the year. And yes...there are some pretty awesome prizes up for grabs this year! More information on how to give is coming soon, so get ready to support the Cox PTA from the comfort of your couch!

The Cox Elementary PTA is a community of parent volunteers, teachers, staff and students working together to make our school an even better place for every child. The PTA supports school events, provides resources for teachers and classrooms, enriches students’ experiences, and helps bring our school community together. Parents, grandparents, and even students can join! Membership is just $15 per person per year and needs to be renewed each school year.

You don’t have to volunteer to be a PTA member! Your membership is very much appreciated and helps support our students and school. If you do have time to volunteer, we are always grateful for an extra pair of hands—but there is absolutely no obligation. Every family can get involved in whatever way works best for them. Last year, our Cox Elementary PTA set a goal of 250 members. Although we fell short of our target with 160 members, we are proud to have achieved the Bronze “A Voice for Every Child” membership award from Texas PTA!

This recognition celebrates PTAs that are actively building a strong and inclusive membership and those that grew membership to match at least 25% of school enrollment. A heartfelt thank you to all our PTA members who made this possible - every member counts and you are making a difference for every child.

This year, we’re aiming even higher and have set a new goal of 176 members and we are 22% there! Every membership makes a difference, so please consider joining and helping us reach our goal!

Our PTA thrives because of volunteers, and there are so many ways to jump in, whether you have a little time or want to take on a bigger role. We’re currently looking for volunteers (and future leaders!) in the following areas:

Whether you love planning events, organizing behind the scenes, or just want to get more connected, there’s a place for you here. Many of these committees are already starting early planning for next year—now is the perfect time to get involved and help shape what’s ahead!

Our teachers and staff work hard every day to support our students. Let’s show them some love by keeping the Teacher Lounge stocked with snacks and drinks!

Each grade level is assigned a month to help fill the lounge with goodies. Families can send in individually packaged snacks, drinks, or other teacher-favorite treats throughout their assigned month. You can also purchase from our Amazon Wishlist by Clicking Here.
