Field Flash
May 23, 2025
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe we are moving into our final week of the 2024-2025 school year! Thank you to Mrs. Schaab for hosting our Book Fair this past week - we enjoyed seeing both current and future families and students at this special event! Also, thank you to our 5th grade promotion party planners - our Field 5th graders enjoyed a fun and festive evening last night!
Please take some time to review our events for our final week of the 2024-2025 school year. As a reminder, next week we do not have school on Monday in honor of Memorial Day. We do have school on Tuesday-Thursday.
Our Field Day is coming up! This is a special end-of-school event where students participate in various movement and teamwork activities. Please be sure to review this information below:
Field Day Tuesday, May 27
We are very excited for our upcoming Field Day on Tuesday, May 27! The entire school will be participating together for the morning from 9-11am, with lunchtime as usual after that. Parents, please send your child to school dressed appropriately for being outside for 2 hours, including gym shoes, sunscreen (apply in advance), a hat, and water bottle. Parents may view our event anywhere outside the fence of Northeast Park north of Field School, but keep in mind that your child must stay with their group. In case of inclement weather, our rain date is Wednesday, May 28. We will communicate early on Tuesday if we are making the change from Tuesday to Wednesday.
A few important reminders are listed below:
Please check out our special events for the end of the year, which includes some spirit days.
As a reminder, students who have smart watches may not use this during the school day. An Apple Watch has to be in "schooltime". If you need to be in touch with your child, please call the main office and we can relay a message. There is more information about this in our handbook.
- We continue to have serious safety issues in our Kiss & Go during morning arrival & dismissal. Please remember we are a community and it takes all of us following the rules of the road to ensure student (and adult) safety. Please do not block driveways, fire hydrants, or double park. Also, please do not block crosswalks with your car.
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Goodman
Principal
