Arcadia Stars Newsletter
November 11th, 2025
From the Desk of the Principal
Dear Arcadia Star Students, Families, and Staff,
There is so much to be thankful for at Arcadia Elementary! It was wonderful seeing our families at Arcadia's Fall Carnival! As we approach the close of a very strong quarter, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to our entire Arcadia community. I am thankful for our students, as your remarkable growth, effort, and commitment this quarter have been inspiring. Your dedication is evident daily, and you are the reason Arcadia is the best place to be! Thank you to our families, for your unwavering support of your students. Your partnership and encouragement make all the difference in the success we celebrate here. Thank you to our staff team for your hard work and dedication. Thank you for working hard to get it right for our kids every single day!
It is a true privilege to work alongside such a dedicated community. Please make sure to check our updates and reminders!
Be sure to dress for the weather, as students go outside unless the temperature and windchill indicate it is unsafe to do so. Students will benefit from wearing hats, mittens, boots, coats, and snow pants.
Reminder: NO SCHOOL on November 14th
Wishing Blessings, Peace, and Joy,
Meaghan O. Timmons
Principal, Arcadia
Arcadia Safekeepers Agreement
"It's our job to keep the school safe. It's your job to help keep it safe."
ATTENDANCE MATTERS.
All day, Every day
The Value of a Full Day:
When students are picked up early, it can inadvertently create gaps in their learning and disrupt the flow of the classroom. We highly value your support in ensuring your child benefits from every minute of instruction.
Our Collaborative Support System:
We are dedicated to partnering with you to ensure your child's success. For families of students with chronic attendance challenges, support meetings will be organized to collaboratively identify barriers and create strategies for improvement.
Additionally, families whose students have chronic absences will be invited to attendance meetings with the principal to jointly develop an attendance improvement plan.
As part of our commitment to strong family-school connections, home visits may be conducted to reach out and connect with families.
Students who have had 90% attendance or more this quarter will receive a prize next week!
