Wonderful Wellsville
Community Edition- November 6, 2026
A Message from Mrs. Vazquez
Dear Wellsville Families,
November has arrived, bringing with it cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, and reminders of all the things we have to be thankful for. There is something special about this time of year. Whether it is watching the leaves change colors, pulling on a warm sweater, or enjoying a cup of hot apple cider, it is a season that encourages us to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the people and moments that make our lives meaningful.
As we begin the second marking period, I want to thank our students, staff, and families for helping make the start of this school year so successful. Our students continue to work hard each day, grow as learners, and demonstrate the positive character traits that make Wellsville Elementary such a special place.
November is also our Month of Giving. Throughout the month, we will focus on gratitude, kindness, and finding ways to give back to others. These lessons help our students understand that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference in someone's day. We look forward to celebrating opportunities to support one another and strengthen our school community.
Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our PTO meeting this week. We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and partnership you continue to provide. The success of our school is truly a reflection of the wonderful families who make up our Wellsville community. Together, we create meaningful experiences for our students, and we appreciate all that you do.
This week, we completed our first evening of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Thank you to the many families who attended and partnered with us to support student success. We look forward to continuing these important conversations during our second conference night on November 12 from 4:00-8:00 PM. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate growth, discuss progress, and work together to ensure every child continues to thrive.
As we continue building strong connections between home and school, I would also like to invite you to stop by my Family Forum on November 12 during Parent-Teacher Conferences. I will be in the cafeteria and would love the opportunity to connect with you. Whether you would like to share what is going well, discuss ideas for the future, ask questions, or simply introduce yourself, I welcome the conversation. Your feedback and perspective help shape our school and strengthen the partnership we share in supporting our students.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and involvement in our school community. Together, we are creating a place where students feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. I look forward to a wonderful month filled with gratitude, kindness, giving, and continued growth.
With Wellsville Pride,
Mrs. Melinda Vazquez

A message from our Health Room
Please remember to pack an extra set of clothes in all backpacks for those unexpected spills or accidents. And don't forget to update backpack clothing as the temperatures get cooler. The lost & found rack has quite a few sweatshirts & hoodies - remind your children to check the rack if they've misplaced one at school.
The students did a great job with their hearing and vision screenings the past few weeks! Feel free to reach out to the nurse with any questions of concerns.
Thank you, Mrs. Wrightson BSN RN CSN

Bear Necessities
Bear Necessities is a district operated resource that provides free access to basic necessities (Personal Care Products, Home Goods, School Supplies, Food Pantry, ect.)
The main focus is to remove barriers related to basic necessities so students and families can focus on education. We believe that when essential needs are met, the students are better equipped to learn, participate, and thrive in school.
