Time is going fast...
There’s a specific kind of energy that hits a school during the end of the 3rd quarter. Graduation is no longer 'next year'—it’s in two months. While we are all busy preparing for what’s next, I want to share a reminder from a 1980s icon: 'Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.' (can you name that movie?)
Between the busy schedules and the upcoming transitions, don't forget to enjoy the people sitting next to you today. These are the moments that become the memories we’ll hold onto long after the tassels are turned."

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped make our Winter activities successful. These events do not happen without the help from many people. So we would like to thank the following:

- -Mr. Tejkl, Mr. Donner, Ms. Thompson, and Mrs. Pflueger – for all your help in supervision of activities at home and on the road.
- -The custodial staff for all the work they do to make our facilities ready each day

- -Booster Club – For all your efforts and help with tonight’s banquet and all the other purchases you were able to make to support our activities.
- -Jordan Crook for the delicious meal tonight.

- -Bus Drivers for the endless rides to and from competitions.
- -Parents, thank you for supporting our programs with the endless laundry being done, the meals, and the cheering in the stands.
- -Finally, thank you to the students for all the work you have put in. Being in a small school, there are a lot of things to be involved in and can take up a lot of time.

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Don't Blink...
Good morning!
Another week down and now we are staring down the end of the 3rd quarter. February was a heck of a month that challenged us in many ways but we made it through. One thing that has stuck with me is the phrase "it is that time of year...". I do understand that but I am also wondering how we can make the rest of our months thrive? It is a collective effort. Not only in the hallways to the classrooms but from the walk home to being present at home. From parents, to grandparents, to our community members...it takes a village to create the best for our kids and it doesn't squarely fall on one person. Let's keep this in mind as our moments with all of us being together is coming to a close.
As we close out the 3rd quarter, there is a specific kind of energy that hits our halls—graduation is no longer a distant date on the calendar; it’s right around the corner. It’s easy to get caught up in the blur of assignments and the countdown to summer, but as the legendary Ferris Bueller once said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." We often fall into the "fast-forward trap," treating our current days as a dreading experience and hoping the day gets over fast so we can move on to the next. But the reality is that this feeling is where life actually happens. This quarter is the bridge to our final memories of the year, and if we spend all our energy racing toward the finish line, we’ll arrive there exhausted without having actually experienced the journey.
Soon, the daily grind we take for granted—the friends at the lockers, the teachers who challenge us, and the shared laughs in the cafeteria—will begin to change as we all move in different directions. These moments aren’t just "filler" in a school day; they are what making of our communities. To make sure we don't waste the "now," my challenge for you this week is to find an "Unsung Hero"—a teacher, colleague, custodian, cafeteria worker, patron, or student/classmate who makes your day better—and take 30 seconds to tell them you appreciate them. Being intentional like this reminds us that even when life moves fast, we have the power to slow it down. The bell is going to ring eventually, so let’s make sure we enjoy the class while it’s still in session.
Have a great rest of your week!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
John Hughes (Ferris Bueller)
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
