At Sneed Middle School, we believe every Squire has talents, interests, and passions waiting to be discovered. Our 2026–2027 Sneed MS Club Catalog gives students exciting opportunities to step outside the classroom, try something new, and discover what makes them shine!

Through our clubs and organizations, Squires can express themselves creatively, learn new skills, build confidence, strengthen social skills, and develop meaningful connections with their peers and teachers. Whether they are exploring a new passion or building on an existing one, every experience is an opportunity to grow from Good to Better to Best!

So, Squires, find something that interests you, take a chance, and get involved. Your journey to Better and Best may begin with simply saying, “I’ll try!”

Harvest of the Month Harvest of the Month

Fall is here, and we just know that you will FALL in love with our Harvest of the Month featured produce: Kale! Now, you may be thinking, Kale? What can I do with Kale? But this hardy vegetable packs a punch of flavor and nutrients. And there are so many delicious ways to use Kale, such as smoothies and salads.

Check out our October video to learn more about kale and find inspiration for two different kale-powered recipes to try with your family! The Kale Power Salad will be featured on our cafeteria lines on October 8th for the Harvest of the Month day.

Kale Power Salad

SERVING SIZE: 1 cup

SERVINGS: 10

Ingredients:

  • 1-pound of kale, fresh, trimmed, without stem

  • 1 cup apples, diced

  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice

  • ¼ - ½ cup dried cranberries

  • ½ cup fresh Parmesan cheese

  • Apple Cider Vinaigrette Dressing

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 1 ½ teaspoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Ground black pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup olive oil

Directions:

  1. Chop kale.
  2. In a medium-size bowl, combine apples with lemon juice.
  3. In a separate bowl, prepare dressing by whisking together apple cider vinegar, honey, mustard, salt, and pepper. Slowly add oil and whisk until the dressing thickens.
  4. Place kale leaves in a large bowl. Add dressing. Use your hands to massage the leaves until they become soft and wilted.
  5. Add apples, dried cranberries, & Parmesan cheese to kale mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for an hour and serve.

Florence Harvest of the Month Pro Tips:

  • Kale is a hardy green that can withstand a long soak in dressing; it gets better as it marinates.

  • Replace apple cider vinegar dressing with a balsamic dressing.

Meet Your Counselors

We have three professional school counselors at Sneed Middle School. School counselors are highly educated, professionally certified individuals who help students succeed in school and plan their career. An integral part of the total education system, school counselors help students form healthy goals, mindsets and behaviors. With the aid of a school counselor, students learn to develop effective collaboration and cooperation skills, to practice perseverance, to develop time management and study skills, and to learn self-motivation and self-direction habits.
