Holy Cross Catholic School

From the Desk of Mrs. Wagner

February 12, 2021

Even though it was through Google Meet, It was so nice to see some familiar faces this week at conferences. Thank you for having an invested interest in your child's education. When teachers and parents work together, it helps our students be successful and confident in their learning.

This weekend we get to celebrate our wonderful Catholic school. It is going to be too cold to go outside, so please consider joining us for Celebration on Saturday, February 13 at 7pm. Go to the school website to grab your free virtual ticket! It is NOT too late! We look forward to a fun night celebrating our school and parish. #HolyCross Strong

Snow Day Communication

When inclement weather occurs, we have followed the major school districts' closures in the past. School districts have decided to pivot to remote learning on inclement weather days. The Archdiocese will not go remote and will continue to have snow days. Each region in the Archdiocese has formed a group of administrators that will call school on these days. School closure will be communicated through social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram), the school website, and email. Local News will NOT have this information listed. When we are anticipating bad weather, please be sure to check your emails and social media platforms. We were told that we would hear no later than 5:30am. I will push out communication as soon as I receive it. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Games and Puzzles

It has been so cold lately and indoor recess is tough with social distancing. It is always fun to have new puzzles and games in the classroom to help entertain the students. If you are on Amazon or out shopping and see something that you think the students could play individually, please feel free to send it in to their classroom teacher. Examples: puzzles, Etch A Sketch, Rubix Cube, Yahtzee, etc.
