Library Media Center Update Library Media Center Update

We're celebrating Reading Month in March by kicking off a FUN NEW reading challenge with FUN NEW prizes! To get started, open our "Read Across America" book, log in to Book Creator with your student's school Google account, then read the book with your student. Inside the book are ten short picture book stories. To earn a prize, your student will choose their favorite FOUR stories and write a short book review for each. The reviews can be written on paper. Each review should say what was in the book and what your student liked about it.

Your student can turn in their reviews any time before the end of the school year to receive a Bakugan toy or a prize from our fun new Mystery Prize Machine. Happy Reading!!

Parent e-Tip of the Week Parent e-Tip of the Week

Support your student when learning is a struggle

If your child has difficulty learning, you may worry about the effects on your child's self-image. Explain that everyone struggles to learn things at times. You might share examples from your own life. Be honest but optimistic about learning issues your child may have, and praise and develop your student's strengths. Then, work with the teacher and the school to find ways to support and motivate your child. https://tpitip.com/?15dU18608
