MESSAGE FROM THE PRINICPAL
Dear Brilliance Families,
Thank you for another incredible week at The Brilliance School. Last week, I shared our state report card with you, and I am proud of the hard work our scholars, staff, and families have done together. Now it is time for us to keep growing—and attendance is one of the most important ways we can do that.
When scholars come to school every day, they build skills in reading, math, science, and social studies. They also grow socially and emotionally. Attendance affects our school report card, but more importantly, every day in school matters for your child. We need your help making daily attendance a priority.
This week, we reached 90.1% average daily attendance—our highest yet! Thank you to the grade levels that helped us reach that goal. I believe we can reach 92% next week. Grade levels that met or exceeded 90% earned a special prize on Friday, and I will continue recognizing classes that reach a 90% weekly average. That is our standard; anything above it is excellence.
We have an exciting week ahead, including Student Council and Student Ambassador meetings. Progress reports are now live, and NWEA scores will be sent home on Friday. Please take time to review your scholar’s progress. Parent-teacher conferences are October 12, and we hope to see you there. We will contact families separately if a conference is required.
Looking ahead, our Fall Festival is coming up, and the Scholastic Book Fair returns October 26–30!
Thank you for partnering with us and helping our scholars show up, learn, and grow.
Ms. Thornton
Executive Principal, The Brilliance School
