Message from Mrs. Schneid
Dear BPE Families, πβ
A quick reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 19! We hope our Little Titans enjoy the long weekend. As we look ahead, October continues to be a busy and exciting month at BPE, with several important events coming up!
π Parent-Teacher Conferences β October 22 & October 29
Parent-teacher conferences are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child's teacher, celebrate successes, discuss progress, and work together to support your child's continued growth. We love welcoming our families into the building and value the partnership we share with you!
Please be sure to sign up for a conference time if you have not already done so. We are also challenging our classes to reach 100% family participation in Parent-Teacher Conferences! Let's work together to have every family represented and show our Little Titans how much we value their learning and success!
π PTSA Scholastic Book Fair
Our PTSA Scholastic Book Fair will be open on Thursday, October 29, during conferences, giving families a chance to shop together! Every student will also have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair during school that week on their Media/Library Encore day. Thank you to our PTSA for helping make reading exciting for our students!
β Titan Ticket Days
We enjoyed our 1st Titan Ticket/DoJo points day! Keep earning those tickets and points.
π Halloween Parade β Friday, October 30
Our all-school Halloween Parade will take place on Friday, October 30, at 2:10 p.m. Families are welcome to join us and watch the parade from the front of the building!
Since our PTSA hosted the wonderful Fall Fest for our families , we will not be holding individual classroom Halloween parties. However, our teachers will still make the day special with fun, Halloween-themed activities for students to enjoy!
Students may wear school-appropriate costumes to school on Friday. If you would like to send in a treat or item for the classroom, please remember that items must be store-bought due to allergies and there must be enough for every child in the classroom. Any items sent in will go home with students at the end of the school day.
Thank you for your continued support of our Little Titans! We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families and appreciate all you do to make Brook Park Elementary such a special place to learn and grow.
Let's keep reaching for the stars together! βπ§‘π

CLOTHES for all kids:
Please send in an extra outfit for your student to keep in their locker- socks too. We never know when it may be needed and it helps keeping kids in class and school. It also assists in time that parents may need to leave work or any location they may be to come to school with clothers.

Student Fees
School Fees have been added to student accounts shortly. Payments may be made in person at BPE using Cash or Check , or through Infinite Campus. Instructions are provided below.
Families are asked and encouraged to complete the Income Eligibility Verification Form to access additional benefits, including increased state and federal funding for staff, equipment, and supplies; discounts on fees for academic assessments; and access to local scholarships, tuition assistance for dual credit and AP courses, and discounts on college application fees. By completing the application, you help the district continue to provide valuable resources and opportunities for every student.
Online payment is our preferred method for parents and guardians to pay for school fees, cafeteria payments, and more.
The Infinite Campus Online Payment system is a payment processing solution that allows you to submit food service and school-related fees 24/7 via the Parent Portal. Payments can be made for one child or the entire household.
The Fees tool provides a list of all fees assigned to you. Fees may include things like a lab fee for a science course, a fee for a field trip or the cost of an athletic activity. Fees that are still owed and fees that were paid appear in this list, followed by the ongoing balance for all fees.
If you are unable to use the online payment system, please contact the
treasurer's office at (216) 898-8300.

Parent-teacher conferences are a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and see how your student is learning, behaving, and spending their school day. Kids love when their parents and guardians get a glimpse into their academic world! It serves as great bonding time and gives you a shared point of reference when your child talks about their day.
π Monitoring Grades with Infinite Campus
Make sure to continue monitoring your childβs grades through Infinite Campus.
Why track online?

Gives real-time insight into homework completion, missing assignments, and assignment scores.
Attending your Fall Parent-Teacher Conference will give you a great reference point for understanding your student's academic strengths and areas of growth!

Effective Communication: regarding your child, school-related issue or district-related issue
Do you have questions, concerns or feedback regarding your child, your child's school, or the school district?
Questions, concerns and feedback are best addressed through direct communication with the person closest to the situation.
Start with your childβs teacher for concerns involving your child. For school-related matters, contact the schoolβs main office or an administrator. District-related questions can be directed to the Central Office at 216-898-8300.
Reaching out directly helps ensure your concern is received by the right person and can be addressed appropriately.
