The Muraski Tribune: Issue 10
Back to School Information
Attention Muraski Families
I hope you were able to enjoy two extra days off with your families, as we had Professional Development within our district over the past two days. This is always a great time of year with the leaves changing, Halloween & Trick-or-Treat behind us, and fun events like PTA's night at Kalahari, yesterday. Enjoy the beautiful fall colors and sunshine that Strongsville has to offer, and brace yourself as the cold is coming in the near future.
I want to send a special shout out and thank you to all the parents who participated in our Halloween parties on October 31st. The students have so much fun and it is possible because of our room parents and volunteers who show up to help out! Thank you for all that you do to help our students have fun at Muraski.
Please take a look below. We have some upcoming events within our building and across the district.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Mike Griffen

Logging In at Home with ClassLink (Grades K–1)
To support our youngest learners in Kindergarten and 1st Grade, we provide ClassLink QuickCards so students can access their learning tools in a way that is age-appropriate and matches their early typing and technology skills. A QuickCard is a small card with a QR code that lets your student log in to ClassLink by holding it up to your device’s camera, no passwords to remember! ClassLink is our secure launchpad for apps like Typing Agent, Google Classroom, and more!
To login at home, please use this link: https://launchpad.classlink.com/strongnet
Your student can sign in two ways:
Sign in with Provided QuickCard (QR Code) - Fast and easy. No typing required. Your child’s teacher needs to provide this card for home use.
Sign in with District Google Account - Students enter their school email and password. Example 38smith.john@scsmustangs.org with password 123456js.
Please note that beginning in 2nd grade, students transition to typing their district Google username and password to log in independently. This gradual approach builds confidence and supports digital responsibility as students grow.

Child Nutrition Information
Dear Strongsville City Schools Parents/Guardians:
Due to the shutdown of the federal government, federal funding for many important child nutrition programs has been affected.
If your child’s meal status is Free or Reduced for school breakfast and lunch, there is nothing you need to do. Your child will keep the same benefit status for the entire school year and state funding for these programs is secure through the end of December.
If your family has recently lost SNAP and/or WIC benefits, you may reach out to the Strongsville Emergency Food Bank located at 13259 Pearl Road in Strongsville, or contact them by phone at 440-580-3280. Local chapters of the Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Food Banks may also provide support and resources:
As always, if your family’s financial status has changed due to the government shutdown or any other reason, we encourage you to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application online at payschoolscentral.com. It is never too late to complete the application.
Our District remains committed to the well-being of all of our families. We are closely monitoring this situation and have staff available who may be able to assist in connecting you with the appropriate resources. Please reach out to your school if you are in need of food assistance.
