CIS February Newsletter

Parent teacher conferences are scheduled for February 28th and 29th for Crete Intermediate. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about your student’s academic progress and how we can work together as a team to ensure your student finishes the year successfully. If you haven’t done so already, please call the intermediate office to schedule your 15 minute time slot to visit with your student’s teachers.

Schedule:

Wednesday, February 28th: 6:00 - 8:30 PM

Thursday, February 29th: 8:00 - 11:00 AM, 12:30 - 3:30 PM, 5:00 - 8:00 PM

Our fourth graders will be having a modern version of a box social. Our Box Social will take place on Friday, February 9th. This year, each fourth grader will either be a Maker or a Helper. Our Makers will decorate a box and bring that box to school the morning of the 9th. THIS YEAR, ALL LUNCHES WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL. If you would like to get a picture of your child and their box, please plan on taking that picture at home. More information will be sent home about getting your child’s box to school as we get closer to February 9th. This year, Helpers will perform an ‘Act of Service’ at the school. This could be helping a teacher with a task, assisting Mr. Coffey in the lunchroom, or any other act of service that will benefit the school.

We hope you are as excited as we are that your child will get to participate in Box Social this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email your child’s homeroom teacher.
